Compatibility
Bumps compatibility
Bumps works on Wix Stores sites built with the Wix Editor or Wix Studio, on both Wix Stores catalog versions, and with whatever payment providers your Wix checkout uses, because it never touches payments. It does not run on Wix Headless or Wix Vibe sites, and cart offers need Wix's side cart.
Wix editors and site types
| Site type | Works | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wix Editor | Yes | Bumps places its spots the first time you open the editor. |
| Wix Studio | Yes | Offers render on Wix Studio stores. |
| Wix Harmony | Yes, with limits | On new Harmony sites you attach Bumps's spots from the editor once. Four spots are not available there yet: the frequently-bought-together row, the second product-page card, the checkout cross-sell and the sticky add-to-cart bar. |
| Wix Headless | No | Wix allows only dashboard apps on headless sites, so there is no storefront to show offers on. |
| Wix Vibe | No | Same reason: dashboard apps only. |
Your catalog and products
- Wix Stores catalog V1 and V3: both supported.
- Items from other Wix apps or catalogs (Bookings, Restaurants, Pricing Plans or a third-party catalog) in the same cart: Bumps offers only Wix Stores products and leaves those items alone. They never trigger an offer or count toward a spend goal. The one exception is a percentage fee, which Wix calculates on the whole cart.
- Products with options such as size or colour: offers on the product page, in the side cart and at checkout show an option picker. Quantity breaks and BOGO use the option the shopper already chose. Thank-you offers and frequently-bought-together tiles skip products with options.
- Never offered: products that need custom text or other required fields, subscription-only or members-only products, and anything out of stock, hidden or deleted. On the older V1 catalog, Bumps can't tell a subscription-only or members-only product apart; the help page covers what the shopper sees then.
Checkout and payments
- Payment providers: an accepted offer becomes an ordinary Wix Stores line item, paid in Wix's own checkout. It works with whatever providers your store uses, such as Wix Payments, Stripe or PayPal. Bumps has no access to payments at all.
- Coupons: Wix allows one coupon per order. Scratch-card prizes and thank-you discounts are coupons, so applying one replaces a code the shopper already entered in that cart. Bundle, spend-goal and order-bump discounts are automatic Wix rules and leave the coupon slot free.
- Buy Now and express buttons: shoppers who use them skip the side cart, so they won't see cart offers. Checkout is the spot they do pass, and checkout offers appear only on Wix's checkout page. If your product pages show a Buy Now button, Bumps's setup ticks the checkout spot for you.
Side cart, not the cart page
Wix gives apps no slot on the full cart page. Cart offers appear in the side cart instead: in the header bar, as a card among the items, and in the slider. If your store sends shoppers to a cart page, set the cart icon to open the side cart; the help page shows how.
Currencies and languages
- Currencies: offer prices show in the shopper's selected currency. "Spend over" targeting applies to shoppers viewing your store's base currency, and fixed-amount coupons, such as a "$5 off" scratch prize, are issued only in the base currency.
- Languages: the built-in storefront text ships in English, Spanish, German, French and Brazilian Portuguese, and falls back to English. You can write each offer's headline and description per language.
Speed and safety
An offer renders nothing if its data fails or times out, and Bumps's checkout plugins let checkout carry on if they fail, so an offer never stands between a shopper and paying. Each storefront plugin is held to a 125 KB size budget, gzipped.
What happens to my offers and data if I uninstall?
Nothing is destroyed straight away. Uninstalling stops every offer immediately, removes the Site Plugins from your storefront with no leftover theme code, and revokes API tokens at once. Your offers, settings, and performance history are kept for 90 days, so reinstalling within that window puts you back on the dashboard you left rather than a blank one. After 90 days they are permanently deleted. One thing outlasts the app briefly: the automatic Wix discounts behind bundles and spend-goal bars keep applying until they expire, within 30 days.
